Valerio Lepori, born in Zurich in 1989, began playing the trombone at the age of 8 in the StadtJugendMusik Zurich and graduated from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in January 2016 with a Master of Arts in Music Education and a minor in Composition. He studied trombone with Nils Wogram, Andreas Tschopp and Markus Wüest and composition as a minor subject with Ed Partyka and Dieter Ammann.

He taught himself to play the piano at the age of 16 and has since written several compositions and arrangements for various ensembles. Since 2017, he has been a freelance live and studio musician in various bands and projects (such as The Sheiks, Klischée, The Jammin' Band, The Killin' Jivers, Der Große Bär, Soulmaniacs and others) and has been teaching trombone at the Musikschule Hug Zurich since 2020.
