The Sheiks are six musicians from Zurich and Lucerne who have become intoxicated by the jazz of the early days. They swing through timeless hitmaterial and cheerfully mix in their own compositions. Over 100 performances (including the Thailand Tournée '23, Europe Tournée '24, Jazz Ascona, Buskers Bern, Festival da Jazz St. Moritz) have shown that their music inspires audiences of all ages. This is presented with a resounding joy of playing and a pinch of Dada that makes you think the roaring 20s have only just begun.

Klischée is the story of four talented musicians and friends with roots in Berne and the Valais. Founded as a loose multicultural collective, Klischée is often selecting a reinforcement of their team – both musically in the studio and at countless energetic concerts throughout Europe and China. Klischée’s music is a modern hybrid sound: a healthy dose of electronic, good melodies, strong vocals in French and English paired with danceable beats and their signature live horn sound. All this is accompanied by appropriate visuals and an amazing light show. Klischée is thus an all-round audiovisual experience.

Founded in 1999 as a loose group of young hip-hop enthusiasts, the Chur rap crew Breitbild made its first appearance in 2002 with the release of the EP "Statischt". When the album "Narrafreiheit" was released two years later, the band was well received throughout Switzerland. The videos for "Gimmer as Mic" and then "Für 1 hets immer no glangt" (from the album "Legenda") run continuously on the music channels. The rappers Andri, Claudio, Thom and Vali give over 150 concerts accompanied by a live band, opening the Gurtenfestival and playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival, among others. After the top ten albums "As isch nid immer alles crazy" (2008) and "Was für a Moment" (2010), Breitbild is less present in the public eye for a few years, but continues to work quietly on the album "Breitbild".

Dirty, cheeky and full of turmoil - that was the jazz culture of the 1930s and it can still be that today, as the Killin' Jivers prove with their new record "The dream of day and night". This kind of jazz is not just for listening to, but especially for dancing and laughing along to. With role models such as "Slim and Slam" from jazz comedy and "The cats and the fiddle" from vocal street jazz, "The Killin' Jivers" bring jazz back to the show stage without taking themselves too seriously. In addition to their own compositions, the programme includes numbers by Slim&Slam, The cats and the fiddle, Nat King Cole and Gershwin.

Jammin' carries on. One year after the death of bandleader Boris Pilleri, the 6 musicians of Boris' band have decided to continue the story that began in 1976. However: Jammin' is not a tribute band! We carry on the typical Jammin' groovy bluesy-funky sound. Always knowing that the boss from guitar heaven is looking at the back of our heads! Boris was a pretty awesome guitarist and singer. Unfortunately, you rarely find this kind of quality. What will be played: Certainly one or two Boris Pilleri tunes. It would be a shame, because his compositions are legendary. We all like Johnny Guitar Watson, he was one of the boss's biggest sources of inspiration and gets pretty much every hip swaying, let us surprise you!

Soulmaniacs is a band from Zurich that was founded in 1998. Over the years, the band has developed into a collective with numerous musicians from the Swiss scene. The Soulmaniacs started out as a street band and still play as such from time to time, but have also played in some of the best venues in Switzerland. The Soulmaniacs have built up a huge repertoire over the years, backing many different singers and making it their mission to play their own arrangements of the great soul/funk/RnB songbook.

The Great Bear is the best-known constellation in the northern night sky. It is visible from the European continent all year round. Many stories and legends have centred on the constellation since ancient times. A diversity that is also reflected in the big band project of the same name led by Roberto Domeniconi and Flo Götte. A bouquet of sound impressions, mini-themes and noises as well as skilful solo passages, which initially overlap only in phases, then more and more, until a big band-like overall impression is created at the end.
Line Up:
Roberto Domeniconi (keys), Flo Götte (b), Luca Ramella (dr), Saadet Türköz (voc), Peter Landis (sax), Lino Blöchlinger (sax), Sebastian Strinning (sax), Nils Fischer (sax, bass clarinet), Gabriel Wicki (synth), Manuel Mengis (tp), Valerio Lepori (tb), Flo Stoffner (guit)
Alexander's Ragtime Band plays and loves the original jazz, the music of the pioneers from New Orleans such as King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and many others. In addition to ragtime, this also includes creole jazz, blues and other early forms of this music. In terms of sound, we are inspired by the bands from San Francisco during the New Orleans revival in the middle of the last century, for example Lu Watters and his Yerba Buena Jazzband. This sound is characterised by the two trumpets and the "fat" sound of the rhythm section, which consists of piano, banjo, bass (optionally tuba or double bass) and drums. The band wants to pass on the joie de vivre of early jazz to the audience.
Line Up:
Alexander Etter (tp), Benjamin Frei (tp), Valerio Lepori (tb), Markus Tinner (cl), Felix Müller (pno), Peter Gutzwiller (bj), Jules Zimmermann (b, tuba), Erwin Bieri (dr)

Their debut album, built on a powerful reggae groove, is reminiscent of rock masterpieces such as Back in Black or Kashmir as well as legendary pop hits such as John Lennon's Imagine, Sledgehammer and Another Brick in the Wall, which are guaranteed to blow you away.
